Traditional Residences
It's not mandatory for a citizen to possess a "permanent home" for voter registration. You can provide an alternative description of your residence, even if experiencing homelessness, as long as it enables authorities to identify and assign a voting precinct (and appropriate ballot).
The mailing address on your registration form can be a PO box, local shelter, advocacy organization, outreach center, or the home of someone who will accept mail.

The Board of Elections has supplemental technology at Early Voting Centers and at Election Day polling places. Tech includes ballot marking devices, headsets and keypads, listening to ballot selections and using the keypad, high contrast and large print functions and other assistive devices.

There is also an online tool most voters are able to use to mark ballots for mailing.
